Q:Hey! Did you think about improving the tracked tags? I mean, sometimes the numbers stay displayed even though you've checked the tags already.
xx
I think that one is way out of Missing e’s purview. Tumblr’s Tracked Tags are by no means perfect, but there is almost no sure way for a browser extension to know if that number is correct or not without a lot of overhead and input from you. It would be pretty annoying (more annoying than the tracked tag counts already can be, sometimes). The only way to address this is on Tumblr’s end, I think.
I hope Tumblr’s developers can spend a little time on the Tracked Tags. In addition to the numbers not being correct all the time, and tagged posts not always showing up in those searches, the thing that really makes them difficult to use is the fact that there is no way to correctly track a tag with a hyphen (minus sign, ‘-‘) in it. It just interprets those as spaces. If I were to add a tracked tag for “missing-e”, it would only ever show me posts tagged “missing e” and none of the ones with the hypen.
