#15 Sidebar Tweaks

Find out about this feature in its feature series post.

You’ll find these settings in the Dashboard Features tab of the settings page, you can turn any one of them on or off:

Add Tumblelog sidebar to all dashboard pages

Adds a Tumblelog sidebar (posts, followers, messages, etc) to dashboard pages that don’t usually have one. Check out the screenshot:

Number of retries on failure to load sidebar counts

Sometimes Tumblr can be pretty slow. If Sidebar Tweaks fails to load the numbers for posts, followers, etc. for your added sidebar, it will retry a few times before giving up (default is 4)

Slimmer dashboard sidebar

Make the sidebar take up less room:

Add post buttons to the top of secondary dashboard pages (ie. /dashboard/2/*)

Quick links for new posts are added to the top of the page when you are on secondary dashboard pages:

Make the Following button on the Dashboard sidebar load your following list page (instead of reloading the Dashboard)
If you ever have problems with this or any other feature, consult the Missing e FAQ page.

Much like the built-in ”+ Upload Photo” options, these don’t always load when Tumblr is suffering from errors
