Q:i feel like such a lame kid for asking but i'm totally lost on how to use the keyboard shortcuts can you explain them? :)

Sure! Basically, Tumblr lets you jump directly to the next post on your dash using the J key and jump to the previous post using the K key. Once you jump to a post using J or K, you can use L to like that post.

Missing e adds a few more shortcuts that you can use once you’ve jumped to a post using J or K. Not all of them are available by default (some, like Quick Reblog have to be activated in the Missing e settings):

  • E will open that post for editing (if it is your post)
  • C will open the comment/reply box for that post so you can leave a reply (type in your reply and hit Tab and Return to send the reply without using your mouse)
  • M will bookmark the post using the Bookmarker feature

If you use the Quick Reblog feature:

  • R will reblog the post without leaving the dash
  • Shift+R will open the manual reblog page
  • D will reblog the post to your drafts
  • Q will reblog the post to your queue
  • T will open the Quick Reblog menu and put the cursor in the Tags field so you can add/edit tags. Then, hit Tab and Return to reblog without using your mouse

In addition, you can press the X key to activate and deactivate the Safe Dash feature. You don’t need to navigate to posts using J/K to use this keyboard shortcut.
