Missing e 2.14.2 available - Fix for wonky-looking sidebar buttons
I’ve made style changes to fix the sidebar buttons that seemed to have repeating icons.
Thanks for bearing with me. It has been a smooth move to New York, but it is still a move to a completely new place.

Missing e version 2.14.0 is now available!
This one has been a long time coming, folks, and I apologize for the delay.
Fixes
All Browsers
- Prevent
Rshortcut key from opening new reblog page when Quick Reblog is activated
Chrome
- This version now supports the newest versions of Chrome, which should fix a number of broken features for people using the very latest Chrome browser.
- Please note that old versions of Chrome (version 17 and below) will no longer run Missing e. You should update Chrome now. Here’s how!
Firefox
- I’ve fixed the issue that caused users of Firefox 16 and higher to not be able to answer questions.
- However, there seems to be a problem with the +Upload photo button Missing e adds in some new post pages. I’m working on that.
Safari
- Nothing broke! Yay!
New Feature: Sidebar Tracked Tags
I’ve added an option to show your tracked tags on your dashboard sidebar!
You can find this option under the Sidebar Tweaks feature in the Missing e settings page, under the Dashboard Features tab.

If you have trouble, clear your browser cache after you update Missing e.
Firefox Users
A recent change to the Firefox tools that are used to create this extension have caused Missing e to be no longer be compatible with Firefox versions below 13. I will look into this to see if I can restore backwards compatibility, but it is worthwhile to keep Firefox up-to-date anyway. You should be able to update Firefox from your browser’s menu.
Missing e 2.9.18 - Sidebar counts fix
I’ve updated Missing e to version 2.9.18. It should fix the issue that came up today where post, drafts, messages, etc counts stopped showing up in the added sidebar that is part of the Sidebar Tweaks feature.

Added Sidebar - Count Problems
I’ve been informed that Missing e’s added sidebar (part of the Sidebar Tweaks feature) is no longer displaying counts for posts, drafts, messages, etc.
I am looking into it and will have a fix available as soon as possible!
Missing e version 2.6.13 - Minor additions and a few fixes
~ Additions ~
• The publish button on posts in your queue/drafts/inbox will now be replaced with an icon (if you have that option active)

• An option has been added to the Ask Tweaks feature to allow you to queue or publish submitted posts from the inbox (and not just the blog messages page)
~ Fixes ~
• You should again be able to change the blog in the added sidebar by clicking on the green blog title bar
• Allow highlighted posts to fill the dash when using the widescreen dashboard option without the simplified highlighted posts option
Updating
If you want the new version immediately, DO NOT uninstall and reinstall Missing e, instead, read the instructions on how to update:
Note for Firefox users: Until the new version of the extension is reviewed by the Mozilla Add-Ons site, you can update just by installing the new version over top of your existing one from the versions page. If version 2.6.13 or higher does not appear in the list, you can wait until later, or use this direct link to install.

Missing e’s Sidebar Tweaks Feature: A Tutorial
Missing e has included a feature to add a blog sidebar to all dashboard pages for 8 months now, but some people don’t seem to be aware of it!
This is another of the Missing e features that is not enabled when you first install the browser extension, but that you can activate and configure. In the Missing e settings page (find out how to get there), under the Dashboard Features tab, in the Sidebar Tweaks section, you can configure the browser extension to add a blog sidebar to your dash!
Want your blog sidebar to load from one of your secondary blogs? Simple! Just click on the blog title at the top of the added tumblelog sidebar to choose from any of the blogs associated with your account.
If you activate this feature, you SHOULD uninstall scripts or extensions you may have installed to add the sidebar to your dash. In fact, some of the old ones may prevent Missing e from working correctly.

Do you track a bunch of tags on Tumblr? Then Missing e version 2.6.11 is for you!
In addition to the style and compatibility fixes I worked on for Missing e version 2.6.10 earlier today, I’ve added a new setting by popular demand.
In the Sidebar Tweaks feature, you can now set Missing e to always display all the tags in the sidebar without having to click “Show all”!
This setting will be off by default. To activate it, you’ll need to go into the Missing e settings (find out how), click the Dashboard Features tab, and click the right checkbox under the Sidebar Tweaks feature!

Missing e v2.6.10
There are a handful of fixes for things that broke or started looking odd today with Tumblr’s dashboard style changes:
- Style of added sidebar elements
- Incorrect queued post counts for added sidebar
- Size of added new post buttons on secondary dashboard pages

More in a new series on lesser-known Missing e features.
There are many features in Missing e that you either don’t notice because they are seamlessly applied to your Tumblr experience or maybe because they are not activated by default and you have to turn them on in the settings.
I’ll highlight three more these for you!
Slim Sidebar
If you’ve got a lot going on in your Tumblr sidebar (your tumblelog buttons, tracked tags, Missing e bookmarks), you might find it takes up a lot of room. To combat this, there’s an option in the Sidebar Tweaks feature in the Missing e settings that will slim down your Tumblr sidebar. It’ll take up less room, but still be readable.
Mass Deletion / Queue Shuffling
Both the Ask Tweaks and Dashboard Tweaks features have an option that allows mass deletion of posts or messages. These options are activated when you first install Missing e. The way they work is this: either click on “Select All” or individually select posts or messages in your Drafts, Queue or Inbox using the checkbox added at the top right of each one, then click “Delete Selected” to get rid of them in one fell swoop.
What isn’t enabled by default is the “Shuffle Queue” button. To use it, simply turn on the option under Dashboard Tweaks in the Missing e settings. Then, when you are in your queue, just click “Shuffle Queue” to randomize the order of queued posts! The “Shuffle Queue” button will only randomize the posts that are currently loaded into your queue page, so if you want to shuffle a larger set of queued posts, just use Tumblr’s endless scrolling dash to load more posts at the bottom before you shuffle!
Reblogging Asks
Now, it is an unfortunate limitation that we can’t reblog published ask posts. However, Missing e can bring this possibility slightly closer to reality. Simply activating the option under Better Reblogs in the Missing e settings will allow you to reblog ask posts as text. It isn’t perfect, showing reblogged asks like normal asks (with the speech bubble and all), but enabling you to reblog asks as text posts is a close second-best.
