Missing e 2.13.2: Fix for Reblog Yourself and Firefox Users
I’ve just released a new version of Missing e that fixes some problems with the last Firefox release and also corrects a problem that added blogs incorrectly for the Reblog Yourself feature (for users that have commas in their blog titles).
Missing e v2.8.1 - Fix for Reblog Yourself, some additions
Several Tumblr users who only have one blog associated with their Tumblr account have been finding that Reblog Yourself doesn’t add reblog buttons for their posts. This has been fixed in this new version!
Also, I’ve added a couple of other things:
• New options in the Missing e settings page will now have a NEW indicator bubble attached to them so they’re easy to find.
• I’ve added a new option to Ask Tweaks that will automatically show a whole Fan Mail message (without clicking the ‘Read More’ button for long fan mail messages). This will be disabled by default.
Updating
If you want the new version immediately, DO NOT uninstall and reinstall Missing e, instead, read the instructions on how to update:
Note for Firefox users: Until the new version of the extension is reviewed by the Mozilla Add-Ons site, you can update just by installing the new version over top of your existing one from the versions page. If version 2.8.1 or higher does not appear in the list, you can wait until later, or use this direct link to install.

Missing e v2.5.5
Simpler Highlighted Posts
I’ve added a new option to the Dashboard Tweaks feature to simplify how the new Tumblr highlighted posts are displayed on the dash. They’ll still grab attention and have nifty message ribbons, but they will flow better with other posts in your dash.
This option is disabled by default. If you want to use it, you must turn in on in the Missing e settings page (find out how to get there).
Other Fixes
- The new implementation for Reblog Yourself now displays the “Send to Twitter” checkbox so you can choose whether or not to post to twitter.
- A bug for the extra post buttons (Queue, Draft, Private) in the Tumblr Share bookmarklet has been fixed for users of Firefox 10 and higher.

Tumblr’s Reblog Yourself Improved! (Missing e v2.5.3)
As I mentioned a little while ago, Tumblr has now added the ability to reblog your own posts! This is a great step for Tumblr’s interface, but why not make this wonderful addition by the Tumblr staff go even further?
Missing e’s original Reblog Yourself implementation allowed you to reblog to/from any blog on your account, but unfortunately Tumblr’s new addition does not.
So, as quick as I could, I got working on the problem and can now present to you a new version of Missing e that will again allow you to reblog posts from any blog to itself (in addition to other blogs you have on your account)!

Reblog Yourself Problems! Can Tumblr’s Improvements Be, Themselves, Improved?
Hello all!
It looks like Tumblr has made more progress improving your blogging experience. It now appears that they are allowing you to reblog yourself! However, their implementation appears not to allow you to reblog from a blog, back to that same blog.
I will be looking into whether or not there is anything I can do to improve on this limitation. Please be patient during this time.
Thanks!
‘Missing e’ browser extension for tumblr - CUSTOM SETTINGS SERIES
Missing e is highly configurable, so you can choose to enable or disable any of its great features, or customize them to your liking!

#8 Reblog Yourself
Find out about this feature in its feature series post.
You’ll find Reblog Yourself in the Post Features tab of the Missing e settings page. It has the following custom settings:
- Add reblog button to individual post pages
- Add reblog links to your posts on the dashboard
- Number of retries on failure to add reblog link on dashboard posts (default 4)
Reblog Yourself (along with Magnifier and Timestamps) uses the Tumblr API to get information for adding reblog buttons to your posts on the dashboard. When Tumblr’s API is unresponsive or slow due to overloaded servers on their end, these features may not get the information they need. When they fail, they’ll indicate it with a failure icon (or text) that you can click on to retry. See this post for more information.
During times like this, Reblog Yourself will retry loading a number of times before giving up. Increasing this number means you may encounter fewer failed loads, but it also means that it will take a lot longer before you find out that it isn’t going to load!
The icon that indicates that Reblog Yourself failed to read the Tumblr API looks like this:

#8 - Reblog Yourself
Add reblogging functionality to your own tumblr posts, allowing you to Reblog Yourself.
- Reblog Yourself from your own post pages, or
- Reblog Yourself from your posts on the dashboard
Note: chat and ask posts are not normally rebloggable. Reblog Yourself will allow you to reblog them, but the formatting may look not so nice.
