Yesterday’s issue resolved and improving my response
It looks like yesterday’s possible issue with the “Delete Selected” button was not actually a problem.
I didn’t mean to scare Missing e users when I posted the warning, but I am committed to keeping you informed and only adding value to your Tumblr experience.
I believed that, though unconfirmed at the time, the issue was important enough to inform users about before I had a chance to verify it.
For future situations, I’m going to work on some tools on my end to make it easier for me to verify major issues more quickly. That way, I won’t post unconfirmed scary stuff.
Thanks so much for all the feedback you guys have given me on this!
Dashboard delay problem is not caused by Missing e.
Keep in mind that if you have problems, it is often best to check the Missing e Tumblr blog or submit a bug report on the Missing e website.
That way, I can let you know if and when a problem is related to Missing e.
A good course of action is to temporarily disable Missing e (find out how). If the problem does not go away, it is definitely not a Missing e issue. However, if the problem does go away, it isn’t a guarantee that Missing e causes the issue.
Post Crushes Issues
I’m looking into it, but at the moment, I have no idea why Tumblr won’t accept Post Crushes images generated by the external server. The generated URL clearly works, you can copy it from the automatically-generated post and open it in a new tab, but it just keeps saying “Error uploading photo”!
In the meantime, you can copy the URL that is automatically generated, load it in a new tab and save the image to your hard drive. Then, upload it (instead of using the URL). It’s a terrible that that is necessary, but it’ll work for now.
I just pushed out Missing e version 1.0.70 to fix a problem that Tumblr seems to be having in the last few minutes where clicking a heart will send you to the top of the page.
This was just annoying me, so I had to do something in the interim until they fix it on their end.
Only Chrome and Safari extensions have been updated. Sorry, Firefox users, you won’t get this fix as I’m still waiting for Mozilla to approve Missing e.
