Missing e 2.13.8: Fixes for tag reblogging and Quick Reblogging
I’ve just released Missing e version 2.13.8 for all browsers.
This release fixes the following problems:
- reblogging with tags from a post permalink page
- show a drop-down list of blogs to reblog to when quick reblogging from tag search pages
I am still working on bringing tracked tags back to the sidebar. Stay tuned!

Quick Reblog (and Ask Tweaks) fixed! [Missing e v2.9.20]
I believe I’ve been able to fix the problems many of you have been experiencing with Missing e’s Quick (1-Click) Reblog feature.
All you need to do is to update to version 2.9.20.
If you are still experiencing problems after updating and then reloading your dash, please let me know
Some users unable to Quick Reblog
A few users are finding that they are unable to reblog with the Quick Reblog feature (it pops up a “Reblog Failed” message.
Currently, I am able to Quick Reblog as before, but given that I have heard from more than a couple of people, I believe there may be an issue.
I am currently looking into the problem and will keep you updated.
Missing e 2.9.17 is now available!
~ Changes ~
• Now supporting Dutch! The Tumblr Dutch interface is still in beta, but Missing e is ready to support it. (Thanks to workandlove for help correcting it)
• Multiple Quick Reblogging. Now, you can use the Quick Reblog feature to reblog the same post more than once so you can queue it more than once or post to more than one blog without leaving the dash. (Thanks to thisis-mnemosyne for the suggestion)
There are a few other, minor changes. As always, you can take a look at what’s changed in the Missing e Change History.

Missing e v2.9.4
In the last couple of days, I’ve been updating with a bunch of bug fixes. At the same time, I’ve also managed to add new features!
In this newest version, users of the Quick (1-Click) Reblog feature can now add a caption to their reblog from the quick reblog menu!

Missing e v2.9.3 - Fix for Extra Post Buttons, Send to Facebook from Quick Reblog Menu
Only a little while ago, a Tumblr interface change caused the extra post buttons that Missing e adds to the new post creation page (Queue Post, Save Draft and Save as Private) to overlap with the Create Post button.
This is now fixed in version 2.9.3.
Also, I’ve added the option to post to Facebook when using the Quick Reblog menu. Just like with Twitter, this will default to whatever you’ve chosen in your blog settings page. You can force it to always or never post to Facebook when you quick reblog by customizing it in the settings page (find out how to get there) under the Post Features tab, in the Better Reblogs section.

Missing e v 2.7.10 - Fixed bookmarks and some new features
This new version has a few fixes for some minor issues related to Tumblr’s new post icons.
Most important are a few other changes, though.
~ Bookmarks (Error Page) ~
Some change was made in Tumblr’s backend that caused many Missing e bookmarks to display an error page when you try to load them. With the help of several Missing e users, I believe the problem is now fixed!
~ Quick Reblog Tag Input ~
There’s a couple of changes here that were suggested by Missing e users like you.
First, the input box for tags in the Quick (1-Click) Reblog menu has been increased in size to make it easier to add/edit a larger group of tags for your reblogs:

Second, a new keyboard shortcut has been added for quick reblog users (find out how to activate quick reblogging) In order add/edit tags without having to hover your mouse over a reblog button, just hit the T key to open the tags box. Once you are done, hit Enter or Return to complete the tags and then the normal R, Q or D keys to reblog the post (or reblog to your queue or drafts).
~ Auto-Tag Reblogs ~
A new option has been added to the Better Reblogs feature. Much like the existing option in Posting Tweaks that allows you to specify tags to automatically add to posts that you queue, you can now specify one or more tags that will automatically be added to posts when you reblog them!
Updating
If you want the new version immediately, DO NOT uninstall and reinstall Missing e, instead, read the instructions on how to update:
Note for Firefox users: Until the new version of the extension is reviewed by the Mozilla Add-Ons site, you can update just by installing the new version over top of your existing one from the versions page. If version 2.7.10 or higher does not appear in the list, you can wait until later, or use this direct link to install.

Last week, a change to the Tumblr interface broke Missing e’s Quick Reblogging feature. That very same day, it was fixed.
If you are still having problems, all you need to do is to update Missing e to the most current version (currently 2.6.2).
However, some users seem to have been using similar quick reblog features from other scripts and extensions, namely Tumblr Life and XKit. Both of these suffered from the same problem as Missing e when the change was made. I know that XKit has since been fixed, but I don’t believe Tumblr Life is being actively developed.
If you update Missing e to a version higher than 2.5.14 (that’s where the fix was added), but Quick Reblogging still doesn’t work, answer these questions to work out the problem:
- Does a quick reblog menu show up when hover the mouse over a reblog button on a dashboard post?
- If not, you need to activate/re-activate this feature (find out how)
- Does the quick reblog menu look like the screenshot at the top of this post?
- If it does not, you may be using similar functionality in another script/extension that has stopped working. Uninstall Tumblr Life or XKit (or just XKit’s quick reblog feature), and make sure that Missing e’s quick reblog feature is active (find out how)
Missing e v2.5.0 - Keyboard Shortcuts
Tumblr already allows you to navigate your dashboard using only your keyboard:
- press
JorKto jump to the next or previous post - press
Lto like the current post
With the newest version of Missing e, you’ll now have additional keyboard shortcuts.
- press
Mto bookmark the current post (with the Bookmarker feature)
If you use Missing e’s quick (1-click) reblogging feature (find out how to turn this feature on):
- press
Rto reblog the current post with quick reblogging - press
Qto reblog the current post to your queue with quick reblogging - press
Dto reblog the current post to your drafts with quick reblogging
Note: If you want to use the Bookmarker or Quick (1-Click) Reblogging features, but do not want to use the keyboard shortcuts, you can turn them off in the Missing e settings (find out how to get there).
